We're back with R.L. Stine's Invasion of The Bodysqueezers Part 2. If you haven't listened to the previous Goosebumps 2000 episode you may want to catch up on this story of Jack Archer aka Saucerman as he is now God's Lone Soldier against the endless swarm of green goo invaders. Also Mr. Fleshman is there but he's busy watching TV as the world burns. This story includes one of R.L.'s cruelest twists in the franchise as he pulls off an Inverse Shyamalan. Enjoy!

Kevin, Chad, and Paul tackle the first and only multi-book Goosebumps 2000: R.L. Stine's Invasion of the Body Squeezers Part 1!
Despite the title, there is no squeezing in this book. But there are ominous asteroids, Gameboy aesthetics, and a reminder that 'Not all families are same.' We'll be back next episode with Part 2 and the conclusion of Jack Archer & Mr. Fleshman.

Gather your bag of holding, Goosebuddies, we're going on an Adventure! We go through the 'Pick A Path' aka 'Endless Quest' of the Dungeons & Dragons book Dungeon of Dread. Drink up, buddies! Kevin, Chad, and Paul return to read R. L. Stine's Goosebumps 2000 book Brain Juice. It's a story about genuinely dumb-dumb kids, a scientist who teaches via prank parables, and a rare 3rd party narration that changes our tale from horror to full on jovial farce. We also create the upcoming movement #HomeworkStrike.
OFF TOPICS: fandom wikis, comment archaeologists, going down down like a louie la rah

Ghouls out for the summer, Goosebuddies! Paul and Kevin cover R.L. Stine's Goosebumps 2000 book Attack of the Graveyard Ghouls. Chad missed out on this episode as this story is pretty forking rad! It's got body possession, teens knocking down mailboxes, and the power of dance! Enjoy the episode.

Grab your tickets; we're going back to HorrorLand! Chad, Kevin, and Paul are joined by 90s nostalgia scholar BrutalMoose to cover R.L. Stine's Goosebumps 2000 book Return to HorrorLand.
This story asks hard questions such as 'How much money would it take to sell your kids to a reality show?' Enjoy the park's new attractions; iconic rides such as Tooth Game... and Mummy Walk. Huh. HorrorLand claims to be under new management, but it's certainly up to its old tricks.

Why are we watching an old Nick Jr show? Because it was written by Jovial Bob Stine! Before Goosebumps was a thing on bookshelves, R.L. Stine was head writer on this wacky, non-educational children's show Eureeka's Castle. Chad, Paul, and Kevin are joined by guest Josh Henderson (Pretend Friends, M-Class Podcast, Continue?) to cover the first two episodes (that couldn't be bothered to have proper titles).
We discuss the show's Lynchian b-roll, our favorite character Hose Boy, Batly's hipster status, and how Eureeka and her friends are all really servants of the giant.
OFF TOPICS: Josh and Chad fall in love over Incubus, more quicksand debate, The Charlemagne Maneuver

We swear we did our homework; a very nice A+ papier-mâché volcano but a galactic cruiser (stuck on shrink mode as often happens) crashed into our basement and things escalated from there.
Paul and Chad are joined by writer Marly Halpern-Graser (Thundercats Roar, Aquaman: King of Atlantis, Mad) to talk about beloved Bruce Coville's first book in the miniseries known as Rod Allbright's Alien Adventures: Aliens Ate My Homework. This book has it all: martial arts aliens, Star Trek paralells, surprisingly good discussion about gender and pronouns, the tempation one feels to shake the tiny people in your lunchbox...
OFF TOPICS: none really, we get into the book immediately!

The Ghoulastic Book Club returns to cover our favorite 90's YA book series about child soldiers: Animorphs. In this episode we cover K.A. Applegate's Megamorphs #3: Elfangor's Secret. While Paul fights his way back to our timeline Kevin and Chad are joined by guest Kayla Cline (Spooky Scouts,The Rite of Rumble: Wrestling with Demons) to talk about this wild time-traveling tale. Can the Animorph Kids save George Washington? Will they murder Adolph Hitler? Is morphing into a dolphin a reliable treatment for seeing your teenage love die in the cold waters of The Delaware? Plus learn the exciting backstory of The Ellimist: The Galaxy's First Pro Gamer. And remember the only balm against fascism is the refreshing taste of Mountain Dew Baja Blast.
OFF TOPICS: Guitar Hero: Sea Shanty Edition, dwarven barbershop quartets, Kayla's legal troubles with Fall Out Boy, Wrestling With Demons, wearing our own merch.

The parents are away for this Adventure! episode and the boys need a babysitter. Preferably not one that's secretly a rat monster. That would be nice. Also one that lets us watch R-rated movies and won't tell the adults about it.
In this episode Paul, Chad, and Kevin read through R. L. Stine's Give Yourself Goosebumps book Attack of the Beastly Babysitter. The professionals at KidScare have a full entertainment facility to entertain us and our terrible brother Stinko. Hopefully we can avoid the Switch Cheese and the Mask of Worms. Enjoy!

In this episode the Goosebuds Boys are joined by the hilarious Jordan Morris (Bubble, Jordan Jesse Go!) to discuss a story about revenge and the magic power all birds have. In R.L. Stine's book 'Revenge R Us', kids are sociopaths who don't blink at the thought of a family member ripping their own skin off for a prank. The magic rules and reversals are also more complicated that a blue MTG deck.

To commemorate the end of 2021 we return to The Adventures of Pete & Pete's "New Year's Pete". This delightful episode of TV has delicious cocktail wieners, non-glamorous smoking, Debbie Harry, Salvatore 'Big Pussy' Bonpensiero, telepathically-controlled hamster bowling, and jetpack dreams. It all ends with some sweet hope about the holiday and looking forward to the next calendar year. We get some much need calibration by discussing it and hope you enjoy the episode as much as we did.

The Goosebuds boys are back to review another of R.L. Stine's short story collections: the holiday-themed More & More & More Tales to Give You Goosebumps (Special Edition #6)! Once Paul, Kevin, and Chad get past the confusing title sequencing and multiple Curlys on the cover (which one is real?!?) this becomes a pretty fun and frosty episode! They cover ten short stories including Nutmares, Kooshball Gremlins, endless ballet performances, Ice Vampires, holiday bimbofications, and our first hard-confirmed Goosebumps ghost writer!
OFF TOPICS: Pearl Harbor as a holiday, the trajectory of Cuba Gooding Jr, Kevin's beard oil, Paul's timeless blanket, secret headband tech, Chad's lost Buzz.

RAW-ROOOOO! It's another Adventure! Kevin, Chad, and Paul read through the choose-your-own-story The Werewolf of Twisted Tree Lodge. The boys roleplay as a young plagiarist whisked away to a writers' convention in a woodland cabin that also is run by werewolves? Sadly we don't get to go to any panels about three act structure or meet R.L. but we had a blast reading through this mess all the same.
Happy Halloween, everybody! Stay safe.
OFF-TOPICS: Kevin's tormented chicken pizza confession.

It's Goosebumps 2000 time, buddies! And Slappy's finally getting married. Though we're still waiting on them to lock down a date. All the venues (ventriloquist stages) are hard to book because they don't exist anymore. Chad, Paul, and Kevin read this fourth Living Dummy tale about Slappy's shot at love, which mostly involves Slappy negging his paramours and calling them 'slave'. He's a real charmer, that Sole Icon Of The Franchise.
OFF-TOPICS: Eastern Time supremacy (which isn't actually real, Pacific Time gets the real benefits), underground California Pizza, the thin red line between "pizza" and "pizza pie", The California Pizza Sphere, our most Cool & Evil Pope's reaction to Undertale, rise of The Ghost Kitchen.
